Conducting virtual inspections with a Safety Reports Inspection Account is simple and efficient. This process enables Host Inspectors to connect with Remote Inspectors in the field through a two-way communication link established via the web. The Host Inspector initiates the session, captures relevant screenshots, and uploads them via the Inspection App on the web.
This service operates through a web-based session, requiring only an internet connection—no mobile app download is necessary.
Starting a Virtual Inspection Session
1. Host Inspector Initiates the Session
Log in to the Safety Reports website as an Inspector User using the same credentials as the mobile app.
Start a new inspection and enter job details as required.
Complete any mandatory fields marked in bold yellow or with an asterisk.
Click ‘Open Remote Session’ and enter the Remote Inspector’s name and email/phone number.
Click ‘Create Session’ to generate a unique session link.
2. Remote Inspector Joins the Session
The Remote Inspector receives a text or email containing a session link.
Click the session link to open the virtual inspection in a web browser.
If prompted, select a browser to proceed.
The Host Inspector then clicks ‘Launch Session’ to initiate the live video feed.
💡 Note: You may need to disable your browser’s pop-up blocker to join the session.
