The Safety Observation Report is a comprehensive checklist-specific tool designed to provide a detailed breakdown of both positive and negative observations from inspections submitted within a specified date range. By default, the report spans the last 12 months, offering a clear snapshot of safety performance over time.

This report is structured with individual tables organized by category. Each category is represented as a separate table, with specific items listed as rows below. The columns to the right of the table display the number of positive and negative observations for each inspection item. Additionally, a percentage is calculated to highlight the ratio of positive to negative observations.

For example, if there are 6 positive observations and 2 negative ones out of 8, the report will show a positive percentage of 75%.

Available Filters

To tailor the report to specific needs, a variety of filters are available, including:

  • Date Range: Choose the time period for which the report should be generated.

  • User (Inspector): Filter by the inspector who submitted the observations.

  • Checklist: This filter is required to specify which checklist was used during the inspection.

  • Category: Select the category under which the items fall.

The Safety Observation Report is one of the most widely used reports within the Safety Reports system, thanks to its versatility. Clients utilize this report for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Setting Training Targets: Identify areas where additional training may be needed based on the frequency of negative observations.

  • Trending: Track safety performance trends over time, helping to identify patterns or improvements.

  • Employee Incentive Programs: Use the report data to incentivize employees based on positive safety behaviors and observations.
