Sometimes, you may need to complete inspections without internet access. Fortunately, the mobile app allows you to work offline and sync inspections when you regain internet connectivity. Here's a simple guide on how to use Offline Mode and sync your inspections effectively.
Steps for Offline Mode:
Open the App
From the mobile app, tap on the Config tab.Enable Offline Mode
At the bottom left, you’ll see a Work Online button. Slide the button from ON to OFF on the right side.Confirm Offline Mode
A pop-up will appear asking, "Go Offline? Are you sure?" Tap Go Offline to confirm.Indicator Change
The Safety Reports icon (top left) will turn red, and the Work Online button (bottom right) will show OFF, indicating you are now offline.Switch to the Home Tab
Tap on the Home tab to start the inspection.Start the Inspection
Tap on the inspection to begin and complete your inspection while offline.
Steps for Syncing Inspections Once Online:
Reconnect to the Internet
Once you have internet coverage again, go back to the Config tab.Enable Work Online Mode
Slide the Work Online button back to ON.Sync Alert
A pop-up alert will appear notifying you to sync your inspection to the server. Click OK to proceed.Select the Inspection to Sync
Under Inspections in the Config tab, click the down arrow to expand the inspection list and select the inspection you want to sync.
Important: Before syncing, make sure your device will not go to sleep during the sync process. Go into your device’s settings and set the screen to Never blackout.
Sync the Inspection
Tap on Sync Inspection. The time it takes to sync depends on the size of the inspection.Wait for Sync to Complete
Once the sync process is finished, another pop-up alert will appear, informing you that your inspection has been synced but still needs to be submitted. Tap OK to acknowledge.
Now your inspection is successfully synced and ready for submission once you're connected to the internet!
