Asset Setup in Safety Scan Guide for Admin

Assets can be added manually or uploaded using a spreadsheet template provided by Safety Reports. At a minimum, assets require the following fields:

  • Asset Name

  • Asset Type

  • Tag ID (unique identifier)

Additional optional fields include Location, Inspection Frequency, Route, Serial #, Vendor, and GPS Coordinates.


Adding Assets via Spreadsheet Upload

  1. Download the Scan Asset Import Template.

    1. Scroll to the bottom to download the template.

  2. Enter asset details following the template format.

  3. Save as a CSV file.

  4. In the Admin panel, go to Assets > Import Assets.

  5. Click Upload, select your file, and map the fields.

  6. Click Import to complete the process.


Manually Adding Assets

  1. In the Admin panel, go to Assets > Create New Asset.

  2. Enter asset details in the provided fields.

  3. Click Add to save.
