Customizing chemicals in your Job Safety Analysis (JSA) system is essential for managing hazardous substances effectively. With the ability to add and maintain chemical information in the Safety Reports Admin portal, you can ensure that all necessary details are available for reference when conducting JSAs. Here's how to customize chemicals in the system.
Step 1: Log In to Your Safety Reports Admin Page
Start by logging in to your Safety Reports Admin account. This will give you access to various administrative features, including the ability to customize chemicals in your JSA system.
Step 2: Select JSA Along the Grey Bar at the Top of the Screen
Once logged in, locate the grey navigation bar at the top of the screen and select the JSA option. This will take you to the section where you can manage your JSAs.
Step 3: Choose JSA Chemical Maint on the Far Left
On the left-hand menu, select JSA Chemical Maint to open the Chemical Maintenance section. Here, you can add and customize the chemicals used in your workplace.
Step 4: Select Add New Chemical
In the JSA Chemical Maint section, click on Add New Chemical. This will prompt you to enter details for the new chemical you want to add to the system.
Step 5: Add Information for the Chemical and Select Submit
Fill in all the required fields with accurate chemical information, such as the chemical name, hazard classification, and any other relevant details. Once you've completed the fields, click on the Submit button to add the chemical to your system.
Step 6: Build Out the JSA
After adding the chemical to your system, you can continue to build out the JSA by linking the chemical to relevant job safety analyses, detailing safety protocols, and identifying potential hazards. This ensures that the chemical information is integrated and accessible during JSA creation.
By following these simple steps, you can easily customize and add chemicals to your Safety Reports system, ensuring that accurate and up-to-date chemical information is available for all JSA processes. This helps maintain a safe working environment by making hazardous substance data easily accessible for safety planning and hazard management.
