Please see the steps below to add a user to each module. If the user is only added to one of the modules please make sure to follow the steps listed under that module. Please note there is an import feature for adding users to the system. *See the note at the bottom of this article for those steps.
Reminder: this process can only be done from the Admin side.
Log into your admin account
Click on the Inspections module
Select User profiles
Click Create New User/Create Full-User/Create New Training Employee
Input all required information:
First Name
Last Name
Username (Typically we recommend their email address)
Email Address
User Inspection Checklists* (See step 8)
Input optional information:
Company Name
Address
Home, Work, or Cell Phone Number
After entering this information and if they are new to the system please check the Send Password Reset Email on Add/Update box
Under User Inspection Checklists please make sure to select at least one Inspection checklist
You cannot update anything under the User Service Info section, but once a user is added it will reflect the company contract start and end date.
Click add or update
*For inspections, the import function only allows you to import from a CSV or if the user already exists as an inspection user in the Align system.
To do that you will:
Click the Import Users Tab
Select either a full user or a sub user (whichever your license allows)
Elect the checklist(s) this user needs
Ensure the default checklist matches at least one of the checklists elected
Click the choose file button to upload a CSV
Please note: The users can be imported from a comma separated list (CSV).
All CSV files must contain a first, last name, and email. You can optionally include address, city, state, title, company, name, work phone and cell phone.
Note: You must have at least one user entered into the system before importing others.
*If this user is new to the system please make sure to go back to the User profiles and send them a password reset for any module that they are added to.
If a user already exists in the system, their password will carry over to any module they are added to.
